Exhibited and auctioned at J. R. Delamar’s home, New York, 1919

The death of J. R. Delamar in 1918 prompted the auction of his art collection the following year. The sale, which included several of the Stewart statues, was held in Delamar’s “palatial residence” at 233 Madison Avenue in November 1919.
