Publisher John Murray’s annual guides to London indicate that The Greek Slave was again available for viewing at John Grant’s home at 7 Hyde Park Street after its return from Paris.[1] In May 1858, Grant wrote to Powers: “Your beautiful ‘Slave’ still occupies a conspicuous place at my house and at this moment an artist is engaged in taking a photograph of it.”[2]
